Stonehouse Golf Club, initially named Tradition Golf Club At Stonehouse, is a Private, 18-hole golf course in Toano, Virginia.
The course first opened for play in 1996. Mike Strantz designed the course.
Located just outside Williamsburg, Virginia, Stonehouse is laid over wild, tumbling hills near the York River in the Tidewater Region. When it opened in 1996, The Tradition Golf Club at Stonehouse was named "Best New Upscale Public Course in the Nation" and one of the "Top New Ten You Can Play" by Golf Magazine. Golf Digest awarded Stonehouse 4 1/2 stars.
The Course winds over 7,013 yards of steep forested hills, expansive plateaus, and abrupt ravines. Against this backdrop, the danger of deep bunkers and long carries is balanced by the relative safety of broad fairways and enormous putting greens.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,013 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,135 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 582 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 189 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 426-yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Stonehouse Golf Course is # 18, a 500-yard par-5.

The Tradition Golf Club At Stonehouse Golf Course closed in November 2017. The course reopened in 2019 and was renamed Stonehouse Golf Club. The course is now private.

The reason for the pace of play negative is that we were behind a large group that was having a semi-tournament and it ended up a 6 hour round. This is one of the best layouts and tough course that I have played in the last two months. Absolutely a wonderful venue.

I've read some critical reviews about the course not being in good shape but when I was there it was tip top. I have nothing bad to say about this course, the staff, the clubhouse, the food and the golf were all outstanding! I had more fun playing this course than any I've played before. It's a big course spread out over a large area so don't even consider walking it. The fairways were the widest I'd ever seen with hills and doglegs in every direction. The greens are large and were lightning fast when I played there. The final four holes are memorable and challenging. If you ask me this is a must play when your in the Williamsburg area.

This is another Mike Stantz designed course. Only thing missing is a Windmill and a Clown's Head!
